The RTC Internship Program at Create Caribbean Research Institute is an academic enrichment initiative. Students are exposed to the culture of academic research, digital humanities and community engagement. Interns received the opportunity to collaborate, learn and to practice their own talents on projects of importance to the college community, to national development and to building regional and international networks as students and scholars.

Interested in Becoming An Intern?
- Here are the academic requirements -
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 must be maintained throughout duration of the internship
- 12-14 course credits of program related coursework at Dominica State College
- Digital Humanities Research (HIS115) – 3 credits
- Course Modules (COLL224) – 1 credit x 2 (minimum)
- Research Practicum (COLL225) – 1 credit per semester for 5 semesters
- Capstone Project and Portfolio (COLL226) – 2 credits
- Students must matriculate for a minimum of 12 credit hours at DSC each semester.
- 10 service hours per week during the academic year on DH projects or community service (COLL225 credit)
- Summer commitment (between Years 1 and 2) of 1 month of internship assignment at Create Caribbean and/or community organization (minimum 20 service hours per week) (COLL225)
- Students must exhibit good conduct on campus and follow all school rules and guidelines, and display professionalism in all contexts pertaining to the work of the Institute.
***Under special circumstances, students who cannot formally register for HIS 115 will be exempted by completing relevant coursework independently with the Program Director.***
Your Duties Will Include ...
Collaborating
on research projects and perform other research related tasks as required.
Conducting
promotion of Create Caribbean programs and activities (sometimes on weekends)
Attending and Leading
workshops for Create and Code curriculum children’s workshops (sometimes on weekends)
Providing Admin Support
to the Create Caribbean management and support staff if necessary.
